GRAND FINAL AT THE REGENT CENTRE, CHRISTCHURCH

The heats of the fifth CADArts Festival of Performing Arts took place during November, with the Grand Final being held at the Regent Centre Christchurch.
The festival offered heats in ‘youth and ‘open’ classes in the three disciplines of Dance, Drama and Music. Winners of all the heats went forward to the Grand Final at the Regent Centre Christchurch on Sunday November 26th.
Medals and Trophies were presented at the end of the concert. All the winning entries received a medal and certificate.
The three trophies that were presented were:
‘The Townend Trophy’, for Dance, which was won by St Peters Dance Performing Group, performing ‘Women of Mumbles.(Top picture )
‘The Bournemouth Shakespeare Players Drama Award’ which was won by Trafford Tanzi 'Marilyn Powell and Jessica Barras' (Middle picture)
‘The Camerata Award’ for Music. Which was won by
‘THE WIND BAND’ Christchurch Music Centre. (Bottom picture)
Each of these winners were presented with a framed certificate, the trophies remain on permanent display in the Regent Centre Foyer, with the names of the winners.
A further award the ‘CADArts Youth Trophy’ was presented at the Final to ‘HUMUS’. The Youth Trophy is retained by the winners for one year.
